Cannot recommend this unfinished switchplate.
Poor. The Alder wood plate had several rough unfinished areas (against the grain) that did not take stain properly. There is no way that I can make this plate attractive enough to use. It is junk at this point. I feel that the plate should have been properly sanded and finished from the factory, ready for coats of stain. As it is I wasted almost $30.00 for nothing, when I include the cost of postage.
